This morning my husband calls me to the living room, to tell me that my friends are waiting for me by the window. Sure enough there they were. Along with Jack talking to them.
Everybody knows i feed the cats outside in the morning. About a month ago i decided to feed the pigeons as well. Only reason why I'm doing that is cause if i don't give them food they will be picking at the food i give to the cats. The first few days that i fed them was not a big deal, but after about a week. They started to wait for me. When i feed in the morning it's usually just starting to get light out. Well the pigeons are not out in the dark, by the time i come home and turn the corner to our block it's light out and the pigeons are now flying down to meet me. Seriously, they actually fly to me, i had a couple just fly by my face and flapped there a sec or two before going over my head and landing behind me. I can now reach up and touch them there so close. (I bet if i stand still like a scare crow they will land on me. ...hmmm...maybe I'll have to try that. ...like i don't think so, I'm not that weird.) Anyways, they will land behind me, walk, and follow me up the street. So now i have grandma and her three babies,(mini, minie, and moe) and six toes and a flock of pigeons. This is getting to be ridiculously stupid!!! The first couple times six toes was looking at me with this strange face, asking me why the hell are there pigeons all around her. There not afraid of the cats. I'm sure it looks bazaar walking up the street with a dog, cats and pigeons following behind. Starting to feel like the pie piper, with out the flute. This morning grandma was getting angry and went after a couple of them. Not that they are worried about it.
Anyhoo, that's the way it's been for about a month, but this week. They are now flying to me during the day every time i come out of the apartment. Yesterday i could of used a tennis racket to keep them away from me, it's getting that bad, and just this afternoon while i was walking Shelia i had seven or so of them following behind me on the sidewalk along with six toes. You should see the strange looks on peoples faces as there walking by, i just shrug my shoulders, what can i do??? So this morning when my husband called me about my friends i was not surprised to see six toes and two pigeons looking in the window. Of course at least it's entertainment to the pets inside. Now i only have to hope that i can some how manage to never get crapped on. But I'm not holding my breath on that one.
